Born in Damascus, Syria on the 12th of January in 1966, Dr. Dahi currently resides in Long Beach, California. With a PhD in Political Science from USC in 1994 and a BA for the same field in 1987, he finds interest in American politics, Middle East politics, foreign policy, electric cars, electric gadgets, and yoga. A professor at Fullerton College, and a 20-year trajectory through various colleges, he joined Anti-Media’s team in June of 2015 as an independent journalist.
When asked about his bragging rights, this was his response:
I am an organic intellectual, a rootless cosmopolitan. I am here to de-socialize the socialized. I lived in Lebanon throughout most of the civil war and know first hand what war does to people. To quote Jefferson, “I abhor war and view it as the greatest scourge of mankind.” I also abhor all nationalisms and pride myself on not having a nationalist bone in my body. I firmly believe that nationalism is the religion of the state. Finally, I abhor organized religion.
