(TheAntiMedia) Comedian turned activist Russell Brand was recently in New York to promote his latest book titled Revolution. The trip was scheduled to include an appearance by Brand on The Sean Hannity show. Upon arrival in New York, Fox News promptly and without explanation canceled the actor’s interview with the conservative pundit.

Brand did not appreciate the gesture.

As host of his own internet news program, the Trews (which stands for True News), Brand has famously called out Hannity for his fear mongering and irrational style of interviewing  guests. A public spat ensued between the two men.

Undeterred by the cowardly cancellation, the unrelenting funny man stood in front of the Fox News headquarters in New York and began filming his latest episode of the Trews. Russell was in the middle of commenting on the latest nonsensical rant by Bill O’Reilly when security approached him.

“You can’t film here! This is private property.” exerted a plain clothed security guard in the direction of Brand. When the Trews host inquired about who owned the property, security told him “It didn’t matter.” This is when the actor was asked by the guard, “You wanna get arrested?”

Ultimately Brand was not arrested and left the property, but not before he entered the building and asked a secretary if he could be taken up to Hannity’s studio. The secretary declined the request.
